We are now a Super Group!
Our group was given a year subscription by the fricken awesome Snailybu❤ With that we have been organizing the Gallery, updating the Profile, changing Submission rules, and talking about ways to make our group more social and friendly!
So a huge thank you to our wonderful Admin Snailybu who did this ;u; <333 Feel free to go bother her and send her love!
Updated Submission Rules & Now enforcing Quality Control
We want to make the group look nice and try to attract new members, and part of this will be quality control! All that we ask is that you put effort into your work C: We won’t accept anything that looks rushed, sloppy or on lined paper. We also ask that you show a basic understanding of anatomy.
While we will be now enforcing this, we don't want to completely alienate [ha i just made a joke] any of our current members- Please don't be discouraged by this new rule! This will be a trial run to see how this goes. We will not be cruel with our Quality control, but if it looks like you honestly did not try we will be declining it.
Alien Nations will also start enforcing our rules about CREATIVITY and submitting "aliens" that look like basic recolored earth creatures. There must be at least FOUR noticeable differences on your species or character if they’re based on something from earth- There will be exceptions but please make some visible effort ❤
New Gallery & Sub Folders
All of the folders have now been organized to the best of our abilities with new Sub Folders that hopefully help categorize all Aliens submitted here.
They're organized with letters for the confusing lists dA creates. The main folders labeled with capital letters, and the subfolders with the lowercase letters. [Example: A- Main Folder, a- sub folder, a- other sub folder] Confusing I know, but we hope it helps some!
So we ask that you please remember to submit to the right folders! Ouari, Snailybu and I [Raverick] have spent a great deal of time organizing the group in the past few days. If you’re not sure where your work should go, each folder has a description inside to help. If you’re still not sure where to put your picture, send a note to the folder moderators and we’d be happy to help you!
Future Events!
We were considering doing a type of "Alien Exchange" every other month or so, to encourage everyone to be social and try new things they normally wouldn't ;u; As well as help you get your art out there to others<33 We're not sure how many people would be interested, but this is a sure thing that will happen soon!
We also will be holding "Alien PaintChats" in a public sketcher modded by Snailybu, Ouari and Raverick. Anyone will be welcome to join, so long as everyone is polite and friendly! A journal regarding this will be posted soon and hopefully some people will be interested in doing that as well.
